The Reef Residency in Carnarvon and Ganraloo has started with performers, composers, filmmakers and surfers descending on the Gascoyne region of Western Australia to create the new multi media work for the upcoming Reef Tour. Check out the Reef Residency  and Reef Tour Websites and book now for Reef concerts in July to avoid missing out on this unique set of collaborations across Australia - Darwin, across the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, MidWest, Perth Concert Hall and Sydney Opera House. The Reef Residency and Tour is presented by Tura New Music and The Australian Chamber Orchestra.

Tura New Music congratulates Jon Rose on been awarded the 2011 Don Banks Award presented at the Launch of Tura's 2012 Program, by Chair of the Australia Council's Music Board, Matthew Hindson. Jon Rose has links with WA new music community which pre date the 25 years of Tura New Music, as well as many projects and collaborations since then. Jon is featured in the 2012 Program via the Decibel Series Concert 2. Tura and Jon are keen for something outlandish at this years Sounds Outback in and around Exmouth and after the announcement at the Tura Launch that there was to be a 25th Year New Music Ball in November in Perth theres been a big call for The Ball at The Ball.
