The Western Australian New Music Archive (WANMA) is a joint project between Tura New Music, Edith Cowan University and the State Library of Western Australia that has seen the development of an interactive web portal to house a range of digital materials related to the history and heritage of new music performance in the state from 1970 to the present day. Check it out here: wanma.org.au
The portal presently features access to hundreds of digital collection items, including video, audio, and a range of digital images including photographs, posters, flyers, program notes and other documents. All of these items aim to tell the story of new music in the state, with new material being added constantly and the information around those materials being constantly updated.
We welcome your feedback and contributions. If you have material that you believe should be included in the WANMA web portal we want to hear from you, so get in touch. We’re also looking for those represented in the portal to get involved by adding to and refining the information about their career, so please visit the portal to become an editor.
