A weekend in the outback with some of the most exciting musical events you’ll see in Australia. A sunset concert drifting into a performance under the stars with a theatrically lit shearing shed as the backdrop; a brunch performance in rock country; the enchanting sounds of wire music all in this most spectacular environment with great food and great company.
The weekend kicks off with a night under the sunset and stars at 6 pm Sat with The Schvendes String Quartet moving through to Hollis Taylor‘s (USA) virtuosic American fiddle music and culminating in Jon Rose‘s (NL) Violin Factory 2 ? all using the theatrically lit shearing shed as the set. This will be an event that will have the world talking.
But it doesn’t stop there
10 am Sun morning for those that stay or come back will see a Brunch Performance at Wogarno Rock featuring Hollis Taylor and The Schvendes String Quartet as well as Jon Rose performing his famous Fence Music. Then a lunch break and siesta before heading back out to the rock at 4pm to see Alan Lamb‘s Wire Music installation with the man himself.
After all these cultural extravaganzas there’ll be celebrations with a sundowner at the rock from 5.30 pm
