Sounds Outback

Drums in the Outback 2002

Wogarno Station, Mount Magnet WA
29 – 31 March 2002

A weekend of international, energetic performances in the outback with some of the most exciting musical events you’ll see in Australia. A sunset concert drifting into a performance under the stars with a theatrically lit shearing shed as the backdrop; interactive sound installations around the property; an early morning performance in rock country; workshops – all in this most spectacular environment with great food and great company.

It is impossible to describe the pure majesty of the environment in the Mid West. To add international quality performance and presentation is to quite simply create an event of great uniqueness and incredible value. Without all the other events the Saturday night performance under the stars with hundreds of people from around the state is great value. The fact that there is a whole weekend of activities is indeed cream on a very tasty cake. As people thrill to the sounds in 2002 they will be treated to great food and drinks. All creating a totally huge experience.

Situated on the Great Northern Highway 40 km short of Mt Magnet, Wogarno Station features some awesome rock formations as well as the incredibly rich colours of the outback Midwest Region. Owners David and LJ Cambell are famous for their hospitality and great food.
