Tura, Strut and the In Situ team have chosen four composers for the upcoming In Situ Season at St George’s Cathedral. Due to the large volume of applicants a decision was made to commission four composers to create one work each.
Pianist, improvisor and composer Tom O’Halloran, sound designer/composer Dane Yates, percussionist/composer Tao Issaro and electronic music producer Jack Burton have been selected to work with four choreographers to make site specific works for the In Situ Season 2017.
The composers and choreographers have started their collaborations this week and will present the works at St George’s Cathedral and surroundings from June 15-17. In Situ is a promenade performance experience which will allow the audience to explore areas of the St George’s cathedral otherwise not seen by general public.
