Generous Tura Travellers’ support of Regional Program

Tura is delighted to announce that Irene Lawson and Brendan Kissane have pledged $20,000 to Tura’s Regional Program. In 2013 Irene joined the inaugural Tura Traveller, Helen Symon, for the Reef Tour.  After donating again to the Tura Traveller program earlier this year, Irene and her husband Brendan joined the Reflection Tour in September. They found the experience so memorable that they decided that they wanted to support Tura’s work on a deeper level with this very generous additional donation.

“We would like to show our appreciation by giving further support to the Regional Program to ensure its continuity into the future.’ they said. ‘It was great to see the responses at the various schools – such incisive questions and spontaneous joy was great to see. Keep up this great work.”

Tura’s Artistic Director, Tos Mahoney said: “This level of giving generosity is rare. Tura is honoured to have received this affirmation of the work that we do in regional Australia. It was a pleasure to have Irene and Brendan with us on Tour this year and we look forward to their continuing involvement with Tura through the regional program. We thank them hugely for their support.”

Tura’s award-winning regional activities would not be possible without the vital support provided by donors such as the Tura Travellers.
