Ruined Piano in Brisbane

Perth's own Ross Bolleter is one of the featured artists at the Australian International Music Market in Brisbane 22-26 July 2007. AIMM brings some of the most influential producers, promoters, festival directors and booking agents of contemporary music together to see the best of Australia new music. To bring the true taste of Western Australia to AIMM one of Ross's favourite Ruined Pianos is being freighted ahead of time to Brisbane. Ross's presentation at AIMM is supported by Tura New Music and an ArtsFlight grant from ArtsWA. Tura Artistic Director Tos Mahoney is also attending AIMM as a delegate.

New Revelations

Stills from New Revelations, opening this Friday 13 July at 6pm.

New Revelations is composed of recent screen work in new media. A wide variety of experimental, non-narrative, non-linear screen works have been drawn together from local, national and international new media screen artists especially for the Revelation Film Festival.

Works by rising stars such as Shaun Wilson and Tammy Honey will be exhibited alongside the work of established new screen artists such as Kai Syng Tan. Experiments by local VJs VJZoo will sit side-by-side with installations, projections and site-specific works by new names on the local and national scene.

New Revelations recognises that screen culture has long since expanded beyond the cinema to encompass different forms produced by the interface with new technology. The works in this exhibition will be unusual, fun, serene, discordant and challenging--often all at once.
