Windstrokes in the Kimberley
Windstrokes is a unique opportunity to hear some of Australia's leading performers of fine music in both solo and rarely heard collaborations. The program will be moving, virtuosic, witty, every-changing and have broad appeal. From the haunting sounds of Australia's leading didgeridoo player William Barton, the new music songs of Mel Robinson (wood) with composer/performer extraordinaire Iain Grandage, to the "amazing percussion" of Claire Edwardes, this is a performance not to be missed.
The tour will visit remote indigenous communities Beagle Bay, Djarindjin Lombadina and One Arm Point from the 14th - 18th May, and will also include special performances at Goolari Media Broome on the 21st May, Pearl Luggers in Broome on the 22nd May, and a performance at the Kununurra Leisure Centre on the 24th May.
*The Pearl Luggers and Kununurra concerts feature collaborations with Steve Pigram.
