The 8th Totally Huge New Music Festival features artists from around the world presenting an extraordinary array of concerts, installations, screenings and workshops over seventeen aurally audacious days.
A special outdoor event at the Fremantle Arts Centre
The enchanting voices of The Song Company will be joined by Fremantle’s own new music ensemble, pi, presenting two separate programs of new works by Australian Composers and some enthralling improvisations.

This gala night of contemporary chamber music celebrates four Australian premieres from Andrew Ford and Brett Dean alongside one of Europe’s most awarded composers, Michel van der Aa. All works will be performed by the WASO New Music Ensemble with Australia’s leading new music soprano Merlyn Quaife.
‘gripped by the virtuosity of her performance, at times creating the illusion that she was a whole cast of performers engaged in bringing to life a small-scale drama.’
All three composers will introduce their works.
