Technological change means that Gen Y and Z’s expectations about engaging with Arts and entertainment are a world apart from audiences of yore. Technology and accompanying social trends demand that we sit forward and contribute, not sit back and watch. So what does this mean for artists, filmmakers and performers who want to tell stories, evoke emotions or provoke debate amongst young audiences more likely to have fingers glued to a joystick, mouse or mobile than a tv remote.
Come and discuss how creativity and technology converge at a seminar with Liz Hughes, Artistic Director of Experimenta, Australia’s leading contemporary Arts organisation dedicated to commissioning, exhibiting and promoting media art. See the best and brightest by Australian digital media artists, filmmakers, scientists, video artists, animators and sound artists working at the forefront of new media art in the accompanying Vanishing Point exhibition.
