A concert of new music featuring the premiere performance of The Seasons, a concerto for violin and narrator, composed by David Pye with poet, Kevin Gillam, solo violinist, Jessica Ipkendanz, and narrator, Julia Moody. Inspired by Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, The Seasons blends baroque tradition with contemporary textures to produce a concerto for 21st century Western Australian audiences.
Other works on the program showcase the talents of pi musician/composers and their extraordinary improvisational talents.
