Club Zho 64 will feature The most recent project from Perth saxophonist Ben Phillips (Open Source Project/Direct Ascension/Doggox), RUMPROLLER is a powerhouse 4-piece group with genetic links to the music of Bloodcount, Barondown, Masada and Ornette Coleman. The all-original repertoire explores a number of Ben's major influences, ranging from Messiaen, Hindemith and Stravinsky to Tim Berne, Steve Coleman, John Zorn and The Meters. Dirty, rhythmic, and thematic, RUMPROLLER is also stylistically unpredictable, developing complex musical stories from the simplest of structures.

Volunteers needed! to help install a Ruined Grand Piano at Bathers Beach in Fremantle, for a project as part of the 7th Totally Huge New Music Festival. If you’ve had experience in furniture or piano removal, or just enjoy lifting heavy stuff! then you’re the person we need. You can be a part of this amazing project Southern Exposure: Piano Transplant number 4, and have the chance to work with international artist Annea Lockwood (USA).
“needs a defunct piano, and an anchor, and moving team. As I envision it - we would set it up on the sand, at the high tide line, attach the anchor, raise the lid, and leave it there indefinitely. The idea is that it will only be in the water periodically, so it might remain sounding for some time. We watch the processes of water, sand, wind working on it.” Annea Lockwood
The piano installation should only require a few hours of your time on Monday 3rd October so please give us a call if you’re interested in being involved. Please contact the Tura office on 9380 6996 or info@tura.com.au
Buzz Dance Theatre has commissioned new music from Melanie Robinson and Michael O’Brien for its latest production, RabbiT. Melanie has created an original composition for cello and voice which will counter Michael’s soundscape of sampled and electronic sounds.
Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, RabbiT reveals four unusual rabbits testing the Alice-ability of the story’s central character, Susan - an Alice wannabe who has fallen into a DIY Wonderland. Suitcases of small parts inventively combine to create a world that sparks Susan’s curiosity, leading her into the deliciously ridiculous lives of these strange rabbits.
RabbiT offers new music suitable for the whole family.
