Presented by deckchair theatre, BRATWURST & DAMPER is a new musical by Lilly Radloff and Cathie Travers. It tells the story of two fragile spirits, dislocated from land and country who meet and fall in love against the backdrop of 1960s Perth. This superb new work explores with song and story telling the choices they must make to hold on to their identity, their family and each other in a climate of prejudice and doubt. Can love really conquer all? Or will the difference that brought them together tear them apart? The play hosts a remarkable cast and glorious songs and music composed by Cathie Travers. It stars internationally acclaimed Aboriginal soprano Deborah Cheetham, Peter Docker, Della Rae Morrison and Ian Toyne, also musicians Paul Tanner and Pete Jeavons. Don’t miss this rare musical experience.
