Will is an Australian percussionist, living in France, who uses home-made instruments, amplified found materials and junk, microphones and speakers alongside more conventional drums and cymbals. His work is of an experimental nature using non-conventional approaches to music and sound that often defies his instrumentation. This month’s Zho will see Will using sound material from percussion, radio sine-waves, electronics and cheap concrete-sound - working to sculpt a performance that makes sense compositionally, using noise and sound, but with music in mind.
8pm Monday 18th July at the Llama Bar, Rokeby Rd Subiaco

Tura New Music is seeking Ruined Pianos across the State of WA for its first Ever Ruined Piano Convergence in October 2005 as part of the Totally Huge New Music Festival. Ruined Pianos are often found in backyards, outside laundries, in shearing sheds, on top of hills or on dried creek beds. Mostly left to “die” in the elements the owners and guardians of such instruments are on the whole unaware of the unique and beautiful sounds such instruments create.
