Amanda Stewart

Amanda Stewart is a Sydney based poet. Since the late 1970’s she has created a variety of poetic texts, performances, radio, fi lm and multi-media works in Australia, Japan, the US and Europe. From 1983 - 1993 she was a radio producer at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and in 1990 co-wrote and directed the award winning film Eclipse of the Man-Made Sun. In 1989 she co-founded the Australian text-sound ensemble MACHINE FOR MAKING SENSE who she continues to collaborate with as well as with the Amsterdam/Sydney trio ALLOS which she co-founded in 1995.
She currently works as a freelance writer/performer
