Taylor Deupree (New York)
Taylor Deupree (b. 1971) is a sound artist, graphic designer, and photographer residing in New York. His sound works explore a fusion of digital sound manipulation with organic and melodic textures. An intense passion for recording and studio technology create a strong technological backdrop to his compositions. Taylor is the founder of seminal microsound label 12k and its offshoots Line and Happy. Alongside his output on 12k, he has released critically acclaimed recordings for labels across the globe including Spekk, Mille Plateaux, Sub Rosa, Fallt, Raster-Noton and room40.
Taylor performs a special one off show in Perth as part of his Australian tour in April 2007. Utilising a quad speaker setup to create an immersive listening environment this is an event not to miss.
With support performances from respected Perth artists M.Rosner and Stina.
