Oren Ambarchi is a sound artist with longstanding interests in transcending conventional instrumental approaches. His work focuses mainly on the exploration of the guitar, “re-routing the instrument into a zone of alien abstraction where it’s no longer easily identifiable as itself. Instead, it’s a laboratory for extended sonic investigation”. ABE SADA is a new bass guitar noise quartet. Think low, and loud. Inspired by acts such as Sunn 0))), Zbigniew Karkowski, Vladan Radovanovic and others, this is an all star lineup featuring Cat Hope (ex Lux Mammoth, Gata Negra), Bassta! Pex (Bamodi, The Soviet Valves, Airport City Shuffle), Katerina Katherine Papas (Lucy Was a Decoy) and Leemo (Pahlemik, And Then The Dead Girl Screamed). Be ready for a wall of bass like nothing you will have ever heard before. Formed in June 2006 ABE SADE were recently selected for Jury Night at the 2006 Putting on An Act at PICA, for their performance under the seating using bass frequencies to vibrate the audience.
