Mick Beck
Since 1980, Mick Beck tenor sax improvisor and composer, has been working in the fields of jazz and free music. As a composer he is interested in structures that can diversify and strengthen the impact of improvisation; as an improviser his aim is to mix compelling rhythms, zaney melodies, changes of mood and flexibility in playing techniques to explore new musical possibilities.
Robbie Avenaim
Co-founder of the What is Music? Festival and rebel percussionist of the Sydney/ Melbourne divide, Robbie is constantly re-appraising his sonic boundaries. He has performed internationally with Keith Rowe, Satchiko M and Otomo Yoshihide.
